We are an academically affiliated infertility center and therefore engaged in research. The areas of research interest of Dr. Khorram include the pathophysiology of endometrioisis and polycystic ovary syndrome, the role of nitric oxide in the endometrium. Dr. Khorram’s most recent area of focus is on fetal programming of adult disease. Based on this concept many diseases of adulthood such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity have their origins in fetal life. Dr. Khorram is investigating how structural changes in the blood vessels early on in development lead to hypertension later on in life. Dr. Kim's research is focused on methods to optimize freezing and thawing of oocytes, and blastocyst culture.
